Epic Journey: Part 12

All's well that ends well.

Last quarter ended with decent grades (A, A, A-) and a much required 3-week break! It was AWESOME and probably the most EPIC part of this whole "Epic Journey" thing I've got goin on here...

I got to be lazy for a week and that was GREAT! I was so lazy, in fact, that I can barely remember what I did to be able to tell about it. Let's see... A friend came to stay with us for a while, then there was one night of hangin out with my rockin cool friend from school and her hubby. We were introduced by her to the "Birthday Cake" shot. When we decided we were done at the bar we all went to the Denny's down the road for munchies... good times, sort of ok noms! The next night another super awesome friend had a bit of a get together. It was originally planned to be our girls night out together, but it just kept working out that there were more and more people available and wanting to hang out so she made a big thing of it. Good eats, beer pong, music, and drunken story time - OMG - hilarious! I DO have pics of that night but will spare those involved the dissemination of said evidence.

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! <3

Since we had a friend staying at the house it was decided that this was our once-in-a-decade opportunity to take a trip. We have no "people children", but way too many critters to just up and leave for a few days, and boarding them would just be crazy. Most places that board animals don't even know what Coati are much less what to do with 2 of them!! So, since this was the only time we were gonna have, we were darn sure gonna make the best of it. We rented a car for a week and when the time was right we headed out on a road trip to SOMEwhere! We knew we had 4 days to get somewhere, enjoy ourselves, and get home before it was time to turn in the car. That breaks down to about 14 hours straight driving, 2 days of moseying back the way we came seeing what we could see in the time we had to see it, then another 12 hours or so of more straight driving. As it turned out a LOT of the straight driving was done at night so we really didn't miss much.
The meal on the way out.

 My Hubs <3

The mileage at the start.

Aaaaannnnnndddddd...... The coin says?
TAILS! Go to the OCEAN! HOORAY!

We drove for a long time then THIS stuff happened!

The mileage at the end. Over 1650 miles round trip.
DONE!

Then there was a buncha tryin to relax AND pack for the next part of my 'Epic Journey' adventure/vacation! Ohio to hang out with the family! Back on Friday afternoon, leaving on Sunday morning........ Then back again the following Saturday evening...

Here's a quick overview!

The Ride into Ohio was eventual in that I had to get on the plane, then back off the plane, then change my flight because the plane was broken, then watch as they tried 2 more times to fix it and finally decided to let people fly on a hot plane. I surely didn't. I waited for my NEW flight to arrive at the gate right next to the one with the broken plane. Glad I did - that first plane was STILL sitting on the tarmac (pictured above) as I was getting ready to fly away in my newly arranged one!
There were events for just about every day I was there. Had to take at least one day to just hang out and chill with the folks, but otherwise we were out and about doin stuff! See?

This was kinda weird because ever since I was little my Mom has always done our pictures. This time it was ME doing HERS!
Love You, Mom!

We took an afternoon and went to Cedar Bog (Fen). I got a couple shots I thought were at least worth sharing :) Hope you think so, too!

Itty Bitty Orchard Spider

Road Trip Again! Camp Kern for some Zip lining!

Dad rocks it out on the long line as Sebo pimps on the railing.
Love those shades!

Zip Lining at Camp Kern, near Fort Ancient at the Ozone Tours Facility.
Paul was one of our super awesome guides who took un on the lines!

 Thanks Paul! And Thanks Sebo!

This was, by FAR, the creepiest little antique shop I have EVER been in!
The berries outside were tasty, though :-9~~

Never go grocery shopping when you're hungry.
After the Zip Lining, Creepy Cemetery, and Equally Creepy Antique Shop (it was so creepy it requires superfluous capitalizations!) we stopped for lunch before heading to Jungle Jim's.

Kangaroo, but no rabbit... Go fig.

I made a yummy snack tray with a buncha stuff we picked up at Jungle Jim's. No one was really hungry for a full meal, but everyone DEFINITELY wanted SOMEthing! It was all kindsa NOMMY!
I think it was something like pecan or almond sausage, then paired with herbed goat cheese, jalapeƱo/ sharp cheddar cheese curds, dark seedless grapes, ripe raspberries, and organic caramelized onion flavored crisps. No one had the munchies for long!
I wish to 9 different Gods I'da gotten a picture of just ONE of the trays of JELLO SHOTS!
........Also a highlight.... (I guess PUN intended... o.0)

This is Gracie. Just ONE of the wonderful fluffies living at my patents' house! She is by far the most fluffiest, most softestest kitties you could EVER hope to meet in your whole entire natural life! She also knows a good skritchin' when she'll let you give her one >.<

We went to a hot air balloon lighting on Friday, but it was really windy and dark so not very many people put up their balloons. That's ok though, I still had fun and the super sugar-coated elephant ears smelled DEVINE!!

Then it was Saturday morning - time to call it all quits and head back to Texas. Mom popped off one last shot as we were at the airport. Not a very baby baby brother, huh?

Cell phone shot of my "Welcome Home" sushi.
Hard to complain, isn't it?!?

............back to school on Monday morning

I need a nap after all this!!
